After a long winter characterized by work and the organization of every last detail, ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing has completed the last two days of testing available on the Phillip Island track, where the first round of the 2026 World Supersport Championship will take place this weekend.

The two days in Australia were the first opportunity for ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing to compete against the entire field, while still maintaining the development of the new 820RR as its main focus. On the first day of testing, Valentin Debise completed a total of 33 laps, managing to secure 12th position (less than a tenth of a second from the top ten) in the combined classification of the two sessions available, while Federico Caricasulo finished 17th.

The second day of action was partly compromised by rain in the early stages of the second session, but this did not prevent the team and riders from making further progress. At the end of day 2, Debise clinched a top ten finish, just half a second off the pace, while Caricasulo finished 22nd. The two ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing riders achieved the same positions in the combined classification for the two days. The full potential of the 820RR remains to be discovered, but the first steps are undoubtedly encouraging.
With these two days of testing now over, marking the end of the first winter of work together for ZXMOTO and Evan Bros, it is now time to prepare for the first round of the new season.

Valentin Debise
“I am satisfied with these two days of work, as well as with our entire winter. We started from a base and grew step by step, and despite the limited time available, we have already shown that we can aim for the top ten. Obviously, testing is always a different story from race weekends, but I can consider myself optimistic”.

Federico Caricasulo
“Over these two days, I tried to get to know the bike step by step, without overdoing it and thinking too much about the position. I can say that the bike has good potential, thanks in part to the excellent work of the team. Now we have to put the pieces together, but I think I've gathered a lot of useful information in this test”.
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
"It was a positive two days of testing. On the morning of the first day, we had to resolve a few minor issues related to the bike's youth, but after that, the progress of our package was evident. Valentin has already shown that he can aim for the top ten, while Federico preferred to work with more calm, and that's fine. Both said they were optimistic about the bike's potential, and that's what matters now. It has been a challenging winter, but then again, we are talking about a completely new project, and that is precisely what convinced us to accept this challenge. We believe that together with ZXMOTO we can achieve great results”.
